中国科学院天津工业生物技术研究所（Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences）是由中国科学院和天津市人民政府共建的、从事生物技术创新推动工业领域生态发展的科研机构，2012年3月获中央机构编制委员会批准成立，2012年11月29日，天津工业生物所通过验收，正式成为中国科学院序列研究所。
中国科学院天津工业生物技术研究所围绕“以可再生碳资源替代化石资源、以清洁生物加工方式替代传统化学加工方式、以现代生物技术提升产业水平”的三大战略主题，重点开展“工业蛋白质科学与生物催化工程、合成生物学与微生物制造工程、生物系统与生物工艺工程”三个领域方向的基础研究和应用基础研究，发展新生物学指导下的工业蛋白质科学、工业系统生物学、工业合成生物学、工业发酵科学等学科体系，实行 “研究组—总体研究部—平台实验室”三维科技管理机制，构建“科学研究、技术创新、产业培育、研究生教育”四位一体的发展模式，实现“出成果、出人才、出思想”的战略使命。
2022年2月份，中国科学院天津工业生物技术研究所老师找到上海凯康镁科技有限公司，想要合成罗丹明类似物，类似的荧光标记结构做过很多，比较有经验。最终的合成也很顺利。
